You say: "It's impossible." God says: All things are possible. (Mark 10:27)
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
You say: "I'm too tired." God says: I will give you rest. (Matthew 1:28)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
You say: "Nobody really loves me." God says: I love you. (John 3:16 & John 13:34)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
You say: "I can't go on." God says: My grace is sufficient. (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalms 91:15)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
You say: "I can't figure things out." God says: I will direct your steps. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
You say: "I can't do it." God says: You can do all things. (Philippians 4:13)
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
You say: "I'm not able." God says: I am able. (II Corinthians 9:8)
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
You say: "I'm not worth it. God says: It will be worth it. (Romans 8:28)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
You say: "I can't forgive myself." God says: I FORGIVE YOU. (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
You say: "I can't manage." God says: I will supply all your needs. (Philippians 4:19)
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
You say: "I'm afraid." God says: I have not given you a spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1:7)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
You say: "I'm always worried and frustrated." God says: Cast all your cares on ME. (I Peter 5:7)
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
You say: "I don't have enough faith." God says: I've given everyone a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith
You say: "I'm not smart enough." God says: I give you wisdom. (I Corinthians 1:30)
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
You say: "I feel all alone." God says: I will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Mt. Guiting-Guiting (G2) in the province of Romblon is one of the toughest mountains to climb in the entire Philippines. At least, that's what I've read from Wikipedia and every where in the internet.
Our group of five was supposed to climb it this weekend but due to tropical depression Crising, we decided to abort this trip and move it for next week. Our contact in Romblon has also forbidden us to proceed with the plan.
Naturally, everyone in the group felt disappointed. As for me, I felt the energy sucked out of me when I found out about the tropical depression and that we had to delay - when I can practically see Romblon looming in front of me, but I have consoled myself with the fact that I have prayed for this and if it's not going to be this weekend, then so be it. God has better plans, and you know what, He has a sense of humor too. The typhoon's name is Crising - sounds a lot like my name, and it entered in the Mindoro area which is next to Romblon. I checked the weather report this morning and it looks like Romblon is going to be squeezed with bad weather - there's typhoon Crising moving towards the direction of Palawan, and there's a low pressure area estimated in the Catanduanes area. Weather is quite an issue for a successful G2 climb so we are taking every necessary precaution. We want to get there, but we also want to get back home and tell our tales.
Our group had a con call this morning for some more planning and everyone is excited for next week. Hay! A few more days to go. Please help me pray for a successful climb.
